The St. Louis Bridge Center is governed by a volunteer board and supported by directors, instructors, and front-desk staff.

Bill is an entrepreneur, founder of the St. Louis Bridge Center, and an advisor to the board.
Estella is a retired attorney from New York City.
Julie is a retired educator. For most of her career she taught high school science, and more recently she served as an adjunct instructor for the College of Education at the University of Missouri–St. Louis. She is an ACBL Best Practices certified teacher and co-teaches the Center’s Advanced Beginner’s Bridge course.
Darlene grew up in St. Louis and is now retired. Her last position was with Hewlett-Packard in Atlanta, and she lived in Georgia and North Carolina before moving back to St. Louis.
Glenn is a retired actuary with a background in employee benefits consulting.
Club directors run the daily games, instructors lead classes, and the front desk keeps everything moving.
Beth started running bridge games in 1981 with her grandfather, Ted Browne, learning to score and direct long before she learned to play. More than thirty years later she is the Center’s Managing Director, runs many of its regular face-to-face games, and is at the club three to six days a week.
John was born and raised in Chicago and taught mathematics and computer science at the University of Missouri–St. Louis for 35 years before retiring in 2012. He plays two or three times a week, teaches elementary bridge at the Center, and leads the friendly Monday-evening lessons.
Debb directs the newcomer-friendly Monday chat game. A lifelong learner who has been a musician, physical therapist, and hobbyist, she became a director through years of practice, study, and help from others, and she loves welcoming new players to the table.
Bob is largely a self-taught player and a Bronze Life Master who returned to bridge after a busy career. He enjoys directing games that give players with day jobs and developing players a relaxed, competitive place to play.
Phyllis is a silver life master, a certified bridge teacher, and an ACBL director who has taught beginning and intermediate bridge for more than 35 years. She directs the Center’s Sunday games — including the Swiss team and Life Master / Non-Life Master games — and teaches Adult Beginners Bridge and Bridge in a Day.
Donna is an ACBL Best Practices certified teacher who co-teaches the Center’s Advanced Beginner’s Bridge course.
Linda manages the front office and handles day-to-day inquiries, billing, and membership administration.
